Default Recaro SPG vs SRIII

oem SRIII (w/ sliders)= 40lbs
SPG (w/ recaro sliders & wedge brackets)= 28lbs. It should weigh less if the Mugen Seat Rail kit is used.
oem 00 Civic (w/ sliders)= 31lbs

I assume you cannot use the stock seatbelts with the SPG?

When you use the Wedge brackets (perhaps on the Recaro brackets as well), there is a provision for you to mount the stock seatbelt latch. So just remove it from your stock seats and install it onto the SPG (bracket).

My best offer is $600 for the SR with brackets and sliders.

I'm sorry I think you and Super* have the wrong idea. I'm just posting the weights of the seats as information. They are not for sale.

Unlike others, I actually obey the rules of the message board and post things for sale in the...hmmmm..."For Sale" forum?

Yeah, I actually do sit quite high using the wedge bracket/recaro slider setup. There is almost zero room for a helmet when I use the SPG in my Integra. People who has one piece racing seats installed on their Integra (the right way) complain about the driving position when sitting down in the SPG.

On my Civic however, it's at a pretty good height. I'd imagine using the Mugen seat rail kit will make it better in the Integra but too low in the Civic.

I know the two brackets (Integra and Civic) aren't interchangable. So when I use the SPG on the Civic, only 3 of 4 bolts are fastened.

Anyone know where I can get Vision seat sliders/brackets for the SPG with a Civic fitment?

Ah, didn't know about such differences......never mind.

Scott, who thought this was about an ITR install.....SPG on Mugen is good for me....

I am sorry officer, but I was only asking how much they cost to purchase them, not from you. So I believe it is YOU with the wrong idea here my friend, jumping to conclusions from a six word post. Adieu

I can without a doubt conclude from the above statement that you like the SPG/Mugen combo? Just curious, how tall and "wide" are you?

Thanks.

I apologize, at least I was 50% correct on my conclusion.

But there is such a thing as being too vague, in which you are guilty of.

nice one

I'm 5-10 and about 175 with a 30 inch inseam. I've got a 34 inch waist and about a 40 inch butt. If I sit on the floor against a wall it's 35 inches to the top of my head. The SPG is just about perfect for me at both the butt and the shoulders, although every time I see a picture of the early SPG with the taller leg bolsters I get upset again that I don't have one of those even though I have no problem with leg support. I found that without a seatback brace, the seat back doesn't have much torsional rigidity - it will move around alot under lateral loading. I've sat in some Sparco's that were much stiffer without a brace.

I got by ok with an SRD on Recaro sliders on a Wedge bracket but it was tight clearance to my helmet and while I didn't have any problem while driving I wasn't comfortable with it. When I went to the SPG I fiddled around with several ideas until somebody turned me on to the Mugen rails. I've been happy since with lots of headroom. It would be possible to get maybe 1-2 inches lower with a one-off fixed mount but it doesn't seem worth the bother.

Scott, who told this story long ago (not that $#@&ing long ago) on another now defunct honda-tech....the one that remembered....I hold a grudge for a long time.....
