changing brakes. do i need to replace some sort of bearing?

Default changing brakes. do i need to replace some sort of bearing?

i'm gonna be replacing my rotors and pads soon and i was wondering if i need to replace some sort of bearings? my friend was telling me that i do but could he be mistaken by another car?

no, unless there's something wrong with your bearings too. just replace the rotor and the pads and you'll be fine.

Just pads and rotors! Only time you need the bearings is if the wheels sound like they are gonna fall off.

Most imports are not like the american trucks and all where you have to remove the bearings to swap rotors. These cars have it basically setup as sealed assembly and it shouldn't really ever need to be replaced / greased.

i changed mine..thought i had a bad wheel bearing..about 50 each...its not even needed to do that back.

do i need to re-pack the bearings with grease? my friend was suggesting that i at least re-pack them if i'm not going to replace them.

You can't, as the bearings are sealed units. It is totally unecessary and impossible.
