A friend of mines car won't start. She towed it to a near by shop, they checked it and said the motor has low compression. I went to check the car out myself, it had a CEL before the motor stopped running, so that was the first thing I checked. I jumped the service connector and turned the key, the CEL would come on and stay on. It would not blink, just stayed on. When I un-jumped the service connector, the CEL would go away.

Any suggestions appreciated. She needs this car running!

 

It's a 99 4door civic BTW. Everything is just about stock, except intake and exhaust.
