Default Anyway To Tell a v6 6th Gen?

There is this guy on http://www.cardomain.com/id/llbes47ll saying his car is a v6. Is there anyway of telling, through the pictures, that its not? Do all v6s come with a sunroof? Is the speedo different on a v6 6th Gen?

First off if he is pulling a 16.6 1/4 mile time @ 100 mph, first off thats pretty slow considering its a 4dr and it has supposedly 280 hp and it weighs 2400 lbs , I would say also if you looked at the rear pic he blacked out (not very well) the ex/lx part too. And you should be able to get a sunroof in either the ex or the lx 4banger or v6. The 4 dr v6 ex models were pretty hard to come by (at least in CO). And ps he says he has a stroker kit.....BS
edit: but he does have 5 lug....and 4 bangers in the 6th gen were 4 luggers, he could have done the axle swap too....but its probably a v6 a slow v6.

Edit: that thing is rice....wassup with the wing?

It's running dual exhausts so its probably a v6.
A really slow v6 allbeit, basically stock v6 no real present modifications.A friend of mine has 6th gen w. every bolton I/E/H/Pulley/Vafc/weight reduction and runs 14.9.

LX V6 did not come with sunroof... EX V6, EX 4cyl, and also 01+ SE 4cyl models came with sunroof. EX V6 will have auto climate control, while LX V6 and all 4-bangers have manual controls. Visibly, gauge cluster is the same between 4- and 6-cylinders. (You would have to take the cluster out to see the difference)

The only things I can think of to use to identify a V6, regardless of trim level, would be dual mufflers and 5-lug rims. Obviously, both can be added through aftermarket....

I don't believe APC makes headers for the V6, correct me if I'm wrong. (Who would want APC crap anyway?) I seriously, seriously doubt he could possibly have 280hp, and there's no way in hell the car weighs 2400 lbs. He's talking out his *** about the whole damn car...

I would say this is probably not a V6. It all sounds very shady. I highly doubt he shaved > 600-700 lbs. off the weight, and the fact that he blacked out the logo and didn't provide any pictures of the engine bay are suspect.

I won't even comment on how it looks or how he types.

I also got a friend with a sedan and same mods, ran the same times. I know awhole bunch of other v6's that ran 15.5's with just a few bolt ons.

16.6 doesnt sound right. I know a 5 speed 4 cyl that runs 16.0 with just an intake and muffler.

At the dealership I worked at, getting a sunroof with the LX model wasn't an option. It might have been possible to special order it from the factory like that, but the costs would have been too much to warrant it.

5 lug = V6
4 lug = inline 4

Bragging Rights [or lack thereof]

Quarter Mile: 16.6 s @ 100 mph->

That's nothing to be proud of-- I say more like low 17 @ 85 mph. Mad "tite" Subs don't make your car go faster.

0-60: 8.5 s

Edmunds fastest rating for the V6 is 7.8-- Congratulate him in making the car even slower.

Est. Horsepower: 280

The only way is turbo. I see no intercooler, so no way. More like 149 Whp with all that useless crap he's got on the car.

Weight: 2400

If he removes the unibody shell I can see that. It looks more like 3500.

Accord Type R -- words fail me

The immature typing and the God is me demeanor suggest a wannabe gangsta and a very insecure individual. He has no real knowledge of how to make a car go fast, or probably even how it works.

the most obvious thing to look out for are the lugs, if it has 5 lugs, its the v6.
