Ok, now this is kinda stupid, but how do you launch with an automatic. I know auto's suck, but it's my first car and i had to take what I could get. It's nice besides the fact that its an auto, but i was just wondering if you can launch with an auto, or what should i do to get a decent start?

 

I don't know squat about launching but can you not hold the brake down (tightly) with your left foot and get your throttle up with the right and let the left go?

 

yea, I tried that once, but it didnt work too well...dunno why, maybe i'll try it again.

 

don't lauch like that in an auto...just floor it off the line...ur car will shift for u when u need it.

 

power brake, get the rpms up and floor it timing is key. thats what i do with my bro's tiptronic prelude it flys

 

What kind of "launch?"
Do you mean for your lowest possible ET in the 1/4 mile?

 

"Neutral drops" are good for hard launches... but VERY bad on the transmissions. Don't ask me how I know that.
