Default good thing to get from Japan?

hey all,
I have a cousin that went to Japan for 3 weeks and is staying with a friend of his there that has an RX-7. anyways, he told me that if I wanted anything for my car that I should tell him and he will do his best to find it (his buddy has hookups at a shitload of shops). Anything good for an LS that would be strictly in japan? Not looking as much bling bling, more use, although I might have him pick me up one of those trust 3point strut bars.

thanks

If you can only get stuff that he could carry on a plane I would say get a steering wheel! SRS or non whatever you like. Maybe a JDM ITR shift **** and boot! Definately try and get a wheel though! Hell, if for no other reason sell it to me

Get all the mugen stuff you can find that kingmotorsports rapes you for. Also the Spoon stuff should be cheaper. Get youself a Catz HID kit while at it too. They don't sell them here anymore.

ghonorrea...fun to say...not fun to have. LOL

sorry, I just couldn't resist. Don't get that over there!

But, just about everything is cheaper over there. You could probably buy a used Type R, 98 Spec, for like $5000 USD.

Let us know what you decide to ge though!

You can buy a complete but wrecked ITR for less than $2k. $500 is the cost of a JDM frontend with the headlights taking up the bulk of the cost.

My new '94 GSR cost me $1400. The repair shop owner used this car as the gopher car for buying food and drinks. No, it did not come with those wheels.

To get back to the original subject: a lot of new small items have been released since TAS '04 so you might want to comb through magazines. 320mm Momo Race steering wheels can be purchased from Autobacs for $140, Defi gauges might be cheaper over here, and so forth.

If your friend finds a large shop they might ship stuff back to the US for you.
