power steering....help
I am fixing to do a swap into my ex 4 door and was wanting to know if i remove the power steering will i have to change the rack? Is there any way that i can keep the power steering? I will either be putting a b18a or a b16a in the car. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.
well, im pritty sure none of the 4th gen came with p/s. but i could be wrong about the sedan. if u wana get rid of it w/o changing to a manual rack, do a search on how to delete p/s. i know there are posts about it. im realy not sure how to do it.

i'd keep it, the power steering rack sucks ***** when the pump isn't connected.. just get the right pump for ur motor, if u go with a b16, i guess u could get a 2000si pump, or s 90-93 integra pump.. then u guess u would need some sort of custom line if it doesn't fit correctly.. something like the integra metal part that conects to the pump, and the civic lower half that connects to the rack
i have 2 sedans that originally had power steering. one still has it but the otther it is disabled. i would love to have power steering again on my 91 but the crank pulley is broken. keep power steering. and if you dont ill buy your crank pulley.

I have p/s in both of my sedans, but in my EX when I put the ZC in I just zip tied the pump off to the side, I dont have much trouble turning either, only when sitting still. However, it may be coincedence but soon after I left my pump unhooked I busted a boot or something somewhere and leaked p/s fluid everywhere. Still full in the reservoir but it got everywhere......
damn that sucks. does anybody know if there is a different bracket that i can get to put on my motor that will let me use the power steering pump that i have?
