Default lowering 92 coupe

just picked up some 17" rims and was planning to lower my car cause there is a really big gap when i put on the rims right now on the stock suspension.
i plan to put on H&R race springs and some tokico shocks.
question is, would it be too low of a drop and would i need a camber kit for this set-up?
thanks for helping a newbie out.

No you should be fine...I would recommend about a 2inch drop, just make sure you get an alignment and you shouldnt need a camber kit, and do something I never did, take b4 and after the drop pics..... good luck.

You will definetly need a camber kit.. anything lower than 1.5" is recommended a camber correct on the front wheels.. Rear wheels can be fixed by a few washers (Its a little trick I learned). 2.2" is alot of drop.. You will definetly kill that wheel gap and be scraping speed bumps like its cool.. Watch yourself man.

Yes i am a picture *****....but its all good......I am running eibach sportlines and so are a lot of people on this site, great spring and good drop 1.8" in front and 1.7" in back, anything lower than 2.0" needs a camber kit NTM you probably won't be able to get it on the alignment rack FYI. 215/40/17 will be good.....and a lot of people on here like tokico, konis and kyb's.

I like the Tein High Tech or S Tech if you are set on springs. I would use the Tein type basic dampers, you can pick your ride height and have factory matched struts for a nice ride.

Teins have terrible spring Rate.. I would Say the best Combo (that a majority of h-techers can agree on) is the Eibach Sportline/KYB AGX strut. thats a 1.8" drop and it kills wheel gap.

does anyone have any pics of the car riding on eibach sportlines?... cause when i think about it, 1.8 doesnt really look all that much when the rim is on there, cause i honestly think there is like a 4" gap when the rim is on. but i might be imagining things,,, thanks for all your help

Well here are some links:

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=730747
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=728948
First one is my ride (any chance I get to ***** my car right? ) and the second one is more of an assortment of sportlines springs, hope it helps.

Edit: I think eibach sportlines are 400-500 in front and 300-400 in back not 100% sure though, but definatly stiffer than stock yO

my suggestion would be sportline spring and agx shocks

oh yea, and as far as camber kit, i have one, yet to be installed though. it is a necessity for the car. the front wear is not horribly bad cuz its not slammed, but it still needs one. i got an ingalls style camber kit. but even with sport springs, you should still get one. and the drop is 1.8 in the front, 1.5 in the rear. camber in teh rear isn't bad at all, its the front that kills you.
