Default How to adjust timing to help pass smog?

I have heard that if I adjust the timing on my engine to like 10 deg after TDC it will help me pass the smog test? is this ture and can you tell me how to do that on my teg? its a 0 teg with the stock b18c engine. I kow how to adjust old chevy timing by spinning the dist but how do you do it on a b engine???

same way, loosen the distributor and move it while monitoring timing w/ a timing light.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but 14 is the lowest you can go. And they'll check it too. It's BTDC, ATDC.

if its a test only smog station, then they will check your timing and it has to be within 2 degrees of the stock setting.
