Autometer RPM hookup
Hey guys..i own the 89 civic hf...im doin a transplant soon but my current guage cluster has no rpm guage..id like to add an autometer..how do i go about hooking this up without a current one? (rpm guage)
read your instructions....
if i remember correctly you must run a wire from the guage through the firewall and connect it to the green wire on the distributor...use a splice do not cut.
can anyone confirm the wire color... i can't remember exactly.

you could get an aftermarket one or you could go to your local salvage yard and get one out of an Si...it finds right in if you buy the correct years, and looks more stock. Since you have an 88 you will need to get one out of a 88-89 and not the 90-91. The choice is yours.
we just hoked one up one my friends 97 civic . if u dont know how to hook it up go to autometer.com or whatever thier website is and they'll have instructions there. we hooked his up with no problem. good luck dude.
