tires
RE010's are fine, but they don't last all that many miles...I just recently purchased a set of Falken Azenis, pretty sticky, and from what I have heard they last a decent amount of miles...
lots of good tires though...the RE730's are somewhat similar to 010's but a little cheaper.
Dunlop Sp9000, Pirelli P7000, and the list goes on...depends on price too....

Most people have gotten 10K miles on a set of RE010, and some people have gotten 20K or more (do a search on "tires" "last").
It all depends on what you're looking for in a tire. I want a tire that gives me all the performance that the ITR is capable of. Beware - some of those "higher mileage" tires will degrade the performance of the car. It's a waste of money to spend a lot for a high-performance car (and even more for mods) and then decrease its performance by trying to save a few bucks on tires.

I plan to get another set of RE010s. I've got 8k miles on them now, and the front tires are about half worn. I still need to find time to rotate them. I've been very impressed with these tires overall. Dry traction and corning are the only things that are important to me. I don't drive the car in the rain.

205/50/15 Bridgestone S03s are $151 vs $158 for the 010s at Tire Rack. So far, I have to say they are better tires and it seems like they will easily last longer than the 010s. The new compound is noticably harder than the 010, but it grips as well if not better and has a better tread design. They are extremely stable at high speeds (130+ mph). They are predictable in corners and are actually very quiet. In this price range and size, I don't think you can beat this tire.
Since I was in a hurry, I bought two Kumho Ecsta 712's for my two front tires while leaving my RE010 in the back....The Kumho are very good for their price..which is around 60 something per tire...I would do what other have recommend here...stick with the stock tires or similiar...I miss my stock tires up front...I will replace them though with stock tires in the near future...
I've beat my RE010's up pretty hard for 4,200 miles with only very, very minimal wear on the front two's outer edge. That includes 3 autocrosses, realtively light street driving, and 3 trips to the 1/4 mile, one of those 3 days I had 15 runs too
Overall I'm happy with their performance and their overall longevity.

At 11K, with no track time on these tires, mine were basically bald. Two were well into the indicators, and the other two were just at them.

i think i've pretty much killed my re010's up. i got ~13000 miles on the original set right now, one of them being newer since i got a flat one day. but they're really starting to slip, when i turn from a stop sign or whatever, i can feel the car slip A LOT, im starting to worry about if my lsd is broken or not, but most likely its tires.
i think my next set is going to be either some kumho's for all around purpose. lots of people have kind words about these tires.

the NE0VA are good tires from what i hear.
but u can never go wrong with the RE010..obviously there is something good about them if Honda is using them as original equipment.

i have dunlop sp8000 since my old re's, i can't tell the difference, but as far as a more expensive tire being better, who knows, my are fine for cornering, and great in the rain.
go to tirerack i think, and look at some comparisisons, thats how i decide. and for like 90$ a tire for the sp8's, thats pretty good.
