Default Sleeving

I have search, and i cant find a definate answer to my question. I am going to be making around 300 whp, are sleeves like LA sleeves going to be fine in my closed deck h22, or do i need flanged sleeves? Trying to cut costs without sacrificing reliablity. Any help appriciated

Cutting cost isnt always the correct way to do things...Saving a little more money to get it done correctley wont hurt a thing....

ok so looking for sleeves, all i can find is about 1g for ge to do it, i have a machinist here, so i am just looking for the sleeves. good sources?

Send your block to a shop that does sleeving for a living. It is money well spent. Your shop cannot do high performance sleeving properly the first 10 times.

haha, nice to know that i wont be going through you. Heard alot about you, but your ego needs to watch it a bit, and btw, the guy has been doing sleeving and balancing for about 30 years. Dont know about their fame, but it is Precision in Spokane Washington. Anyway, i will have to look for help elsewhere

I would have to agree with Earl....Its not that your machinist doesnt know what he is doing but if he has never sleeved a honda block he will run into problems the first few times....We see it all to often...If the sleeves are not put in correctley you will have problems... We get machine shops that do machining sending us the blocks to install the sleeves. But anyway good luck on your project
