my dad was taking my sister to school but stopped to get some gas after. now they were on the highway and about a mile later my dad said the car felt like there wasn't any fuel feeding the engine. he said the motor was still running until it completely shut off.
now i checked all the fuses but am still clueless. do you guys have any clue?

you have to give us more info than that. i mean what did you try, does the car even crank? if so check to see that yo are getting spark, and see if their is fuel getting to the cylinders. there are slot of things to check. start by telling us if it even cranks
I would put money on the Igniter... get a new distributor and I would bet all your problems will be gone. I've seen tons of people on here with the same problem. Honda used a crappy brand in the 4th gens. IIRC they did fix that problem in the 5th gens though.
you sure your dad didn't put diesel into the car? hahahaha...I've met or heard of a few peeps who's done that before. could be the ignitor also. my ignitor crapped on me also while I was driving. you don't need to buy a whole new dizzy. just buy the ignitor.

IIRC = If I Recall Correctly... I'm lazy and don't like to type it out
Yes you can get just the igniter but if you really want to do it right you would get the cap and rotor at the same time.. that will run you about $110ish... I think I paid $140 for the whole distributor. I think it's worth the extra $30 to get the whole thing since it costs a hella lot more than that separate.

$140 for a new dizzy? that's hella cheap. well I was looking at ignitors and they're around $80 brand new. so it's really up to you. if you want peace of mind, get a new dizzy, if you want to get the car running for less, get the ignitor.
