Default Which way is ON for fuel? Pic of the switch inside....

I tried cranking it a couple times and it turns over but not starting.
Is the switch suppose to be pointing down or up? In the position shown it's OFF!

Thanks for helping out a nQQb!

It's not terribly standard but either one will deliver fuel...

I tried down and it turns but the mother f**ker won't start. Damn I am pissed off now. Day off from work and I just want to ride around the block to get familiar with the bike. Can't do it because I can't start the f**kin thing *PISSED OFF*

Ride it down a hill at 10-15mph and pop it into first without the clutch, if it doesn't start then, it's not going to.

I have to spray carbeurator cleaner into the side of my ex500 to get it to start. Maybe that would work. It also points down for the fuel to be "ON" on it.

Thanks for all the feedback so far. My father and I did the push start method which I believe he was in 2nd gear. Got it started but the bike did not seem like it was making much power. Also, with the switch pointing down (main fuel tank) gas will drip quickly out of the circled hose. Doesn't matter the position of the choke lever, still pours out:

this is where i put it in. Its on the right side of the bike. I just spray it in for a few secs.

Hope that helps and good luck!
