Default How can I tell if my MAP sensor has gone bad?

There is no CEL for it but my Map sensor has been reading boost. I have a missing link and it still reads boost. So I put 7 check valves in line with the MAP and Missing link and it still reads boost. I think it is the map sensor. When I first turbo'd my teg I had the check valves wrong and I think my MAP read about 10 psi. Could this have F*@#% it up?

i run 10psi daily on a stock honda map sensor with no problems whatsoever.

if the map sensor was messed up, it would throw a check engine light, and also, if it was seeing boost without a chipped ECU, it would throw a check engine light.

If there is no check engine light, its not seeing boost.

yeah, if you're not seeing a CEL, what makes you so sure it's the MAP sensor?

The stock map sensor can read up to .75bar gauge. People here who are running hondata or uberdata, etc... show their map sensor boost all the time. with the stock setup, it's not the sensor that's the problem, its' that the ECU does not have fuel/ignition maps for positive manifold pressure. If you're not getting a CEL don't worry about the sensor, worry about other things though if you were seeing boost on stock maps.
