Default CEL in my ep need some help

driving my car today the CEL came on and i cant rev the car past 4g....the car has like 10,000 miles on it anybody have this problem or is it just me.....called the dealer they cant take it till next WED anything i can do now or should i just wait

you'll need to scan the codes but most likely a VTM or cam control code due to the lowered rev limit.

i know how to check the code in my 92 and my 99 but how do i do this in the 02 is the a a topic on this that i can read

sounds like you are low on oil. Check your oil
and add it if need be.
If I were you, I'd still get the code read (I think
Pepboys or Autozone will do it for free), just to
know what is going on, but it sounds like limp/low oil mode to me.

check the oil it was fine.....when driving home from work the car went past 4g and a min later the CEL went off......whats going on here

Don't disconnect the battery until you have the PCM scanned for DTCs. If you do you won't know what triggered it. If you have an Autozone near you they usually will scan your PCM for free. If not, I have seen OBD-2 scan tools for around $50 lately.

i did not disconnect the battery the light just went off by its self which i thought was very strange its going to the dealer on WED but i'm worried there going to tell me theres nothing they can do because the CEL is not on......i dont have a autozone or pepbays any where around me

If the MIL was illuminated, there should be a stored DTC, even if the light is now off.

MIL or malfunction indicator light is the proper term when dealing with OBD-2, and it is the same as CEL.
