I've got a horrible wear problem on the insides of my front tires. It's an obvious camber issue, but the weird thing is, I don't have any lowering kits, springs/shocks or otherwise. The wear has been going on since the stock motor was on there, so it's not the B16's extra weight... So I guess my question is this: Would bad shocks and/or springs be the cause of this? I know the ones that are on the car are INSANELY old. Like at least 125-175k miles old... could this be the problem? If not, does anyone else have any ideas? Thanks guys.
Doesn't sound right, if it's not alignment, and they didn't alert you to a camber situation, I would start to check for wear in the front end. Check your upper/lower ball joints, and more likely, your wheel bearings, steering rack outer/inner ends, end bushings (this woule be felt through the wheel as wandering while going straight). Bad springs/shocks won't cause a problem like you're having.
it probably has nothing to do with any of that, camber, or otherwise. You probably need to get you toe-in/out adjusted.
There was a really informative topic a while back that cleared it all up. I wish I knew where it was, but anyway if more times than not camber has nothing to do with wearing the insides of the tires. Its all in a GOOD alignment, one that deals with the toe. Try a search on that.

It's the toe, not the camber
. I drove for 2 years with -2.5 camber (low), no problems. Hit a curb and got some toe in (forget how much) and the tire showed significant wear on the inside within 3 weeks. Just think of it as 'dragging' the inside edge of your tire everywhere you go. It's gonna where out fast. That's why a $30 alignment will save a $100 tire. I learned the hard way

i had this problem once.. when i first bought a 91 si one time. it turned out that the guy who had it before hit somthing i guess and the hub was bent on the spindel. it was crazy. Its kinda hard to understand with out actually seeing it. but it can happen.
if u go get an alignment, they can tell you whats out of whack (toe or camber). if its camber, then u know somehting is bent. if toe, just get it aligned
