96 accord 18s to big or go with 17's and how low of a drop???
Ok im have a hard time decideing on 18's or 17's first off I want Racing Hart c5's so im just trying to decide on what size to go with. Im not getting a body kit or anything just a daily driver car. Second what drop should I get with out rubbing. neuspeed sports 1.75 or the race springs 2.25? and info on what you think would be great thanks.
I went with 18's and 2.5" drop and love it, no rubbing nor any other issues. You however may not...its really a personal thing, and the condition of local roads will affect the decision as well. The roads where i am are damn good, so the ride is only a little worse than stock (handling much improved though) and the ride height/rims arent a problem
I have 17's with the Neuspeed Sports (1.75-1.5).
Aggressive enough of a look, personally wouldn't go any bigger than 17's b/c the tires are so thin. It sucks having to replace them all the time, and the ride won't be nearly as good w/out aftermarket shocks/struts.
If you drop any lower, you'll turn into a very paranoid driver as you will be trying to avoid any and every bump. You won't rub with 17's and the aforementioned drop, and you mentioned daily driver so take my word for it.
Pics are in the profile I think, have fun.

And not to mention the price difference for tires 17 to an 18 is rediculous...17 is a more common size but like said b4 17's with no kit and 18's if your planning on a kit..... post b4 and after pics.

good
I would decide how low you want to go first before you decide the wheel size..how low are you thinking...?

guess it depends on your goals for the car
if you're not a stunna' there's really no reason ta' get 18's, I'm rollin' on 17's daily and they're sporty!
gonna' get me some 16's for track days too

well I had a 96 civic hb and ive had every size pretty much 15's 16's and 17's but with this car im not really looking for speed just something that looks nice and I just thought maybe 17's look small on a accord compared to 18's.
i honestly think the style of the wheel will determine if the wheels look too small. my old 17" work wheels looked like 16s at most IMO. i picked up a set of 16s (te37 copies) today and they look to be just as big as the 17s, and my new 18s (c5) look huuuge without a kit on, but with the kit on it looks just perfect
Hey, id go with 17s over 18s anyday. 18s are too big. Id say a drop of like 1.5" in the front and 1.75"rear. Good luck
