need help on cold air intake install
im lost as to where to stick the cold air extension. its a 2 piece no name intake. i cant seem to find a hole big enough to stick tha pipe in. any help would be great
if you know where your stock air box is located,(left side of the engine bay if you are looking down at it) just remove the old one and reinstall your new. it is a simple install
yes you are correct, the air intake is on the very left side of the bay, follow the big tube up to the top of the engine bay and take that tube and box out. The pipe for the cold air intake goes into where the plastic tube went and the pipe will weave it's way down to where the box was and go down behind your bumper
If you would like, I could email a picture of mine in my 4th gen when i get it tomorrow

Also I believe that in order to install a CAI on the 4th Gen, you'll have to manually enlarge the hole where the extention goes.

I got it today after school, everthing was really easy to install minus one thing, which was that YES, you do need to do a tiny tiny bit of modification, but it isn't serious, the hole that the tube needs to go down is just barely too small but easily enlarged with a dremel or any other hand rotary tool, right now i set it up as a short ram intake because i didn't have time to widen the whole, but i will soon, and i'll post all my pictures too.
for future reference for anyone, heres a howto on a 4th gen from lightning motorsports
