How difficult is hood pin installation?
I just ordered a set of sparco hood pins to for my CF hood. The hood does not sit too well and I don't trust it w/o hood pins. Can someone explain the process involved in getting the pins in. I'd be up for paying someone to do it if there is a small margin for error in terms of screwing the hood up. Thanx.

Hoped that helped....it is much more difficult to install locking hood pins like I have....lining these up is a bitch!
PS - If your afraid to do it, get a professional to install it for you, don't take any chances.

It isn't that difficult if you got some drilling skills. You can use the pre existing holes in the radiator support to mount the stems. Make sure when you find where you are going to drill that you tape the spots up with duct tape as a reinforcment. Take your time as well, if your carbon fiber hood cracks(ive seen a few shops that have messed up) I dont believe you can fix it like a fiberglass hood. Good luck.
The best advice I can give is to take your time. Drill the holes smaller and gradually enlarge them. I have the blue Sparco hoodpins. They bend very easy, so don't tug and pull on them because they will bend. They look dope and have served their purpose on my car very well
