Overfilled Oil Problem.Need Help
I had the oil changed at the local acura dealer about 2500 miles ago. I went to go check the oil today and noticed its about a quart over the level. Could this have caused engine damage , what should I do?

I had the same problem, engine ended up being fine. It's probably not as overfilled as you think, just drain some and be done w/ it.
Did you check the oil level while the motor was still warm? Usually the oil level will read higher than it actually is after you run the car. Also, maybe the car wasn't on level ground.
A quart still sounds like it's way too much. If you want it done right, do it yourself.

The oil will read low if you don't let it sit for a few minutes after you run it, not high. All the oil has to get down to the pan and that can take a few minutes.
Take your car back to the dealer and let them know what happened and make them drain some and fix their mistake.
Stop worrying, your motor will be fine.
P.S Next time, check the oil before you leave the dealer to make sure they didn't screw up and not add any, or too much or too little. That's the kind of stuff you have to do if you don't do your own work
