I have searched and searched but have not been able to find much information on the years the ITR was sold in Europe (Italy more specifically) And how readily available it is.

Since im going to be moving back this spring as things stand now (Greece) I have been debating wether to purchase an R here in the States and then when I move to simply ship it over, OR to just make the buy overseas (thinking Italy as its closer to Greece and I know the Integra wasnt sold in GR), considering I wont get raped as much over the shipping, and registering the car *should* be easier.

So if you Euro R owners or anyone can help me, it would be MUCH appreciated.

As far as I know R's were available from 98-01 in Europe, If I were you I'd buy one when you get over here, there's no problem getting a nice one, here's a link for you so you can do a search for yourself:

This is a German site, I found my car here and imported it to Norway, cost me about 3500$ to get it shipped and all the paperwork sorted. Picked it up at home here in Molde registered and all; even insurance papers sorted. Could have saved 1500$ if I had not hired a broker to do the job, and made a trip to Germany myself and picked up the car but my German is not that good And the same goes for my understanding of German bureochracy (sp?) As for getting one in Italy I don't know much, I believe they were sold there too, but maybe in smaller numbers than in Germany. One good reason for getting one over here is we have them in Milano Red

 

Europe hype arrs come with recaros and steering wheel we don't get in U.S. and a choice of red itr and ctr..

 

Yea i pretty much know what the euro R's come with, and of course the wheels are different as well.

99ITR#3715, thanks for the website. It seems Germany got a good amount. I was also able to find an Italian used car search website, and found about 6 for sale, all well kept. All within 11,000-14,000 EURO range.


Got some info as well, and from what they say the ITR was indeed sold in Italy, starting in 1998 through 2000.

I guess im way better off buying within the EU regardless, instead of transporting it overseas anyways (must be alot of loot)

Hmm Italy... The best choice is Switzerland (near Italy). I have PY ITR with Yellow Recaros from there A lot of ITRa are from Switzerland and Germany - look there for your R.
Ask also guy on HT - Austrian_TypeR (i thing thats his nick) - he has some ITRs "contacts".

Also, if anyone knows of International shippers or actually has shipped his car abroad, that can give me a ballpark price for shipping (im very curious as to what im looking at as far as price goes) it would help me a great deal as well, thanks.

 

Only thing I know is it cost me 1000$ to ship my car from northeast Germany and up to where I live in Norway so that gives you an idea of what it might cost you.
