Default Need help!! How to hook up a sub and amp to 2004 civic factory deck?

I have my system but, i dont know how to install it and the audio places charges me 125$ just for the install.

Can someone show me how to install 2 12s and 600 watt rockford fosgate amp ( everything is in a box already).

What kind of speaker wires do I need? I need to learn this stuff guys, thanks if you help, hehe.

There should be "remote" insert and some other one going from deck to amp, then the amp/fuse/battery connection. Then the amp to subs.. I dunno I guess that's basic rundown Iguess. I'd have to literally "show you" in person I'm not good at describing things

If your amp has high level inputs, you can tap off of the rear speaker wires and run them into the amp for your signal. If not, then you'll need a line-out converter, which you again tap into the speaker wires, and the converter gives you RCA outputs, which you'd run just like you had an aftermarket deck.

Best Buy has the adjustable converters for $23.

The subs and amp is all hooked up together, I just need to install all that to the factory cd deck, I think this is the hard part..

8 guage wires should work right? Also, can some give a wiring diagram or something..Thanks

I explained how to hook it to the deck in my previous post...

And yes, 8 gauge should be sufficient, unless you're running a HUGE amp... Then, get 4 gauge...

As far as a wiring diagram, you really don't need one. You'd wire your 8 gauge power wire (or 4 gauge) to the positive terminal (the one that says "+") to the terminal on your amp that says "Batt" or "12V". Pretty simple...

There is something about a low and high end converter that I need for the factory cd deck right? For the out puts to the amp? Can someone explain to me how I install this?

Holy crap...

Okay... The line out converter will come with directions... VERY simple directions... If you can't hook it up from those directions, maybe you'd be better off paying someone to do it for you...
