Default help a newbie to protect his car, trying to find a good pager that......

I have installed a clifford and just want to know which aftermarket pager works well with the alarm.
I will put layer of protections but didn't know what to choose for pager. I saved money for so many
years to get this car and I just want to protect it.
Also, I am not in the State, are there online stores where I can buy one of those things?

I thought so too, my previous car is stolen from my indoor garage at night.

Are DEI pagers reliable? like 579T & 579W

DEI owns Clifford. So, get DEI pager alarm interfaced w/ Cliff. ($75-$100)

Your local Cliiford store should have it in stock. I believe you can't just buy the pager unit and install it yourself. BTW, the pager is only good for ~1-2miles in radius and it won't reach you if you're parked underground.

1-2 mile radius??? ?yeah right..... first off, depends if you have it attached to your stock antenna... if so, your alarm goes off, your antenna goes up... and the theif ganks the **** out of your antenna.... if you have it hooked up with the optional glass mount antenna, 'tuned' at the appropriate frequency... you get decent range... i wouldn't say it's even a mile though.

You wanna protect your car? gut the f$cker or have it protected by some redneck with a shotgun and a rott and then drive a beater to work/school/whatever.

Pagers don't work for ****, just get a real good alram with all the bells and whistles, back up battery, hood lock, relocate the brain of the alram to the passenger side of the car, get a secondary horn or just get a huge screeming air horn. To top it all off get lowjack.

HAHAHAHA, so true D. I have the DEI 795T Pager with the optional window mount antenna. Hands down the most useless thing I ever bought for the R. If my alarm goes off in my garage, the F'in pager doesn't even beep. So far it only works in clear line of site with a range of 50 feet. Piece of ****!
