Default Car Security Help...

I have alot invested in my car and want to prevent it from being stolen since i just moved from a garaged house to appt...i want the gps tracking and dont care too much for the remote start..i know the viper 210v is the one to get (or what ive seen in this section) but i just want to make sure. i have enough to cover it all just need opinions on what to get.

I would recommend DEI, [Viper 210HV] or Compustar, [CompuTRACK... http://www.compustar.com/main.htm] systems if you want GPS tracking, along with a good alarm and one or two redundant kill switches. 94

so get a dei alarm over a viper alarm? and by redundant kill switches u mean with the alarm or custom ontop of getting an alarm..

redundant kill switches mean, switches installed throughout the car, asisde from the alarm, to prevent the car from starting.

and DEI owns Viper.. its one of their subsidiary companys.

gotcha...thank u


and i already have a keyless entry for the power windows on my 94 civic si with wires for an alarm to get plugged in..should i go with this or gut it and completely re do the system

Make sure it's a stealth install and not just tossed under the dash.

OIC a power window module, like a DEI 530T or 529T.

If so you can continue to use the window module but you will need to remove the key-less entry unit, the alarm you install will have key-less entry, [for power door locks] and outputs to control the module. 94
