On the dyno will be your best bet. When your tuning you can play with your cam gears if you have alot of dyno time.

leave it stock till you get on a dyno. every single car is different, even if you have the exact same parts.

If you don't have a lot of dyno time, but can make 5-6 runs at the track per nite, keep a log, make settings, make runs at the track, take averages, and see what works.

i agree dyno time is really the only way to adjust the cam gears to their optimal postion for your specific setup. i think that to many variables come into play when using the above mentioned track method
