Default gauge cluster

I've read about people with swaps putting gsr gauge clusters or sir clusters in their 92-95 civics. Could you just put a jdm tach face in the place of the usdm one? Or could you buy a jdm sir cluster and put a usdm speedo on it? I really want to have the correct redline and have mph.

Swap a USDM speedo into the JDM cluster or the JDM tach into the usdm cluster. Your needles won't match, but it'll be okay.

Tach isnt right for b series.

If you just use the tach out of a jdm cluster, it will more then likely be
the white face, and that would look really stupid. If you can find
the Euro one with the black face, then you could just put the
USDM speedo in the UK cluster. That would be the easy thing to do.

But wait.......then the speedo will be white lights and the UK will be amber.
I guess you could do the colored bulbs, but it will look pretty crappy at night.

From what i've read on here the Si clusters don't fit 92-95. Unless your talking about Sir which reads in kilometers which I don't want.........

Are the lights attached to the gauges? Couldn't you just drop the mph speedo in for the kph and still have the correct lights because you arent switching the lights?

You have a 92-95 Civic?

Any 92/95 Civic cluster will fit in your car. CX/VX/DX/LX/EX/SI from a 92-95 will work. Thats why peeps are saying to a get a 92/95 EX/SI cluster. Plug and play, unless you want to dea with an Integra cluster.

I don't want the whole cluster though. I just want the tach so it will read the 8200 redline and match a b16 swap.

Where can I find tachs individually? I was thinking of getting the sir tach which is white, then matching it with white gauges that read mph. Can you buy those indigo guages off ebay and make them use the stock lights and not that color ****. I guess i'll just buy the jdm tach and use indigo with the stock lights.
