Hit 8600 rpm in 5th gear
On the way to the track. On hwy 505. Dead road at night.
could have went all the way to 9100, but no room. Car was pulling still nicely.
This was with 4 tire/wheels, 80 lb jack. tools, etc... in the trunk.
I new she could do it, but never actually did it till now.

us itr 4.4 tranny. Apexi N1 suspension. neg camber all the way around
then i had the pleasure of watching m friend in his supra *zoom* past me
I felt kinda slow again........
*insert flames here*

Actually, he would have won that too. He's got a032r's on and carbotech panther pads.
Plus the supra brakes pretty much kick *** stock anyways.

I should actually change that. I switched back to OEM yesterday. All kinds of bad things have been happening on campus lately, so the less I stick out, the better. In the lot I park in, someones car got keyed, another's window got smashed, and several emblems have gone astray. I dunno what to do. I'm getting noided out about my car. I saw a tow truck in the lot where I park and I got nervous. Hmmm.... not so good.
Well, since 4500 is 80 mph, then this was about 152 mph.
Car was unbelievably stable.
Bob#497,
I'll take your word for it. Sounds right. But i don't wanna test it out at those speeds heh

I had one this weekend also. If I hadn't run up to traffic, I would have redlined also. Indicated 135+ @ ~8200RPM on Hwy85 between SJ and Mt View. Didn't feel much different than driving at 80mph, except other cars were just disappearing.

Akira-R,
if you refer to the gauge your data are not so impressive.
Today I was racing again Opel Astra turbo 190 hp and I hit 252 km/h (about 155 ml/h) on the speedo at 8600 rpm.
Mine is stock B18C6 (11.1:1 cr and we have JDM final gear) except for mugen 4-1 header, test pipe and plugs.
The front of the car at that speeed on rough surface isn't stable.
I just need Mugen lowdown or something similar.
BTW I notice that when the tires are weared out the final gear is 100 rpm shorter.
Regards to all the people of this forum.

H-PIMP,
"autostrada": I guess you was in Italy to know this italian word.
Yes, there is speed limit on our highways; it changes depeending from the road conditions but usually is 130 km/h.
My car is black and is the only one ITR in my district.
Here we have few japan cars, the most are italians (**** exc. Ferrari, Maserati, some Alfa Romeo) frenchs and germans.
We also have a lot of performance diesel (yes believe me): VW Golf TDi (150 hp stock, but very easy 170 hp, hard to beat) BMW 330 D (185 hp stock goes to 230 hp only with ecu, huge torque, bad client), but where the ITR could not win with the engine prevails with chassis.
What else to say... I'm very gelous of you people of USA here it's very, very difficult to found parts for Honda tuning and $$$$... but ITR merits some sacrifices.
I'll go with Mugen stuff for the engine because it' bolt on and to have the best reliability, I would also like Toda, but where found good tuning shop ?
I would be glad if someone of the forum that come here for holidays would contact me.
Ps about the topic: a guy said to me that with 11.5 c.r (mugen gasket), Mugen 4-1 header, test pipe, 1.5 inch lowdown, K&N in the stock air box, in 5th gear reached fuel cutoff (8900 rpm indicated) and 260 km/n on the speedo.
So I think that for the max speed it's very important frontal section (drag factor)Ciao.

Ciao Leo95SE,
glad to read you.
Come in Italy you are welcome, and in the south my disctrict is one of the most interesting to visit.
Avellino is 20 min from my town and my wife is from there.
If you'll bring some stuff for my ITR I'll not keep for you nutella and limoncello....
I'll start from now to keep all the best food & drink of this area.
Let me know what you will do.

Paul: I was in Italy earlier this Summer and I didn't see any Hondas, never mind an ITR. It seemed like people completely ignored the speed limits on the autostrada (in Tuscany). I drove 160 to 180 kph consistently (the top speed of my Cabrio TDI) and plenty of people were keeping up. Was I just lucky or is there little speed enforcement?
Paul, I've never been to Italy. But I have lived in Spain for a short period of time, and also visited Portugal. People in Europe drive very fast. In Spain the speed limit is 120 kph which is only 70 mph. But people drive way faster. Like 170-80 kph is the average pace. I'd like to visit the Autostrada in Italy and the Autobahn in Germany. Maybe someday.
ya, but only in specialty stores here. go figure, in toronto you can get it anywhere, but in NY, i have to find an italian deli (with marked up prices)
o welll...
