well after i bent my valves, i upgraded the valvetrain. everything else is stock. im just wondering if its ok to keep my auto tensioner becasue im short on money. heh. i dunno fi it would fail because of my new valvetrian or not, pleeease help.
How many miles are on the tensioner? I know practically everyone with a 5g has had problems with the tensioner (including my self twice) and they end up doing the H23 conversion. Im getting ready to change out my tensioner next week but honda has a new tensioner and timming belt that supposebly has been re-worked and fix the old tensioner problem. So im gonna try their new one and see how this one holds up.
If i were you i would replace it just for the security of knowing its new, what kinda valve train did you go with? How stiff are the springs?

I totally agree... if you've got the chance to do it right then just get it over with.
