Default need tips to paint my apex'I N1 canister

I got an N1 catback on my ITR and I want the exhaust canister black to keep the cops away.. But I saw that the canister is made of polished stainless steel... any tips to be able to make the paint stick or it is barely impossible to paint the canister a decent way ? thanks

go to pep boys and get hi temp engine spray paint. you can also try walmart or pep boys and get bbq spray paint.

you can lightly sand it if you want, you dont really need to because the paint sticks well, if you do light coats and if its not too cold out.

after spraying it, let the car run to get the muffler hot to dry the paint up.

About a year ago my friend painted his n1 muffler with a hi temp paint, didn't sand or anything, still looks the same.

Are you painting the whole muffler? When I used to have an N1 I was going to paint the canister part flat black, but leave the tip polished. The canister is the main part that attracts the most unwanted attention, when people are behind you that thing reflects like a mirror.

Ouch. Dont paint it. Sell it and get something quiet or stock looking if its that much of a concern.
