B18C4 into a Civic EK -96
Iīm about to swap an B18C4 into a Civic EK. The problem is that the engine have 16 pin connectors and the car has 32 pin connectors. Will the cars harness plug into to the engines harness in the enginebay? Are the connectors the same? I know that the connectors are different to the ECU. I saw the JHP harness connector from OBD2A to OBD1(http://www.jdmhondaparts.com/ecu/jum...d2a_type2a.jpg ),will this solve my problem or do i have to reroute all the connectors in the enginebay aswell. The new engine is from a Civic 1.8VTi aka the same engine as the GSR. The car thatīs going to get this engine is a 1996 Civic EK with the 1.5L 114hp sohc vtec engine. I hope that you can give me a hint on what to to do.
(We donīt really have the names "OBD" for different engines in europe but a similair operation in the US would be(according to the connectors in the car and engine) OBD2a-car, OBD1-engine and ECU. Is it possible?)
Regards Martin

The Integra uses a 2 part engine/chassis harness but the EK implements both into a 1 piece engine harness. For EK's, all of the sensor wiring goes directly from the motor to the ECU via the engine harness whereas the Integra's engine harness ends at the shock towers where it plugs into the chassis harness plugs.
You will need to transfer the EK engine harness onto the B18C and make any necessary wiring changes. If the ECU that you are using is OBD1 plug style, then you will need an OBD2A to OBD1 ECU adapter.
