Ok, so i got my brand new skunk 2 intake manifold installed, and now my car is running very rich, and when it idles it bounces from 1200-1800. when i drive it, it runs fine, except when i let off the gas and get back on, it jerks alot more...maybe its the responsiveness of the bigger intake mani. Anyhow, does anybody know what could be causing this? Its running very very rich and bounces at idle. there might be a bubble in the fuel line, maybe the ecu is trying to correct the furl for the bigger intake mani, i don't know, pls help!!!!!!

 

make sure you plugged in all the vacuum lines and check for any manifold air leaks. that will cause the rpm's to bounce and possibly the rich idle condition. did you use a new intake manifold and throttle body gasket? well, good luck though.

 

We checked over the vacuum lines, and yes, i used a brand new mani gasket made by Tzdevil, which is made from some junk that firefighters use. and on the TB, first we broke the original gasket, so we used some liquid gasket, but then we scraped that off, and put a whole new gasket on. We're going to check and change the sensor that checks the IM air temp or something later today.
