Default "Baking" Headlights

Hey, I've been wanting to paint my headlights black. A couple friends told me to bake them to be able to pull the headlight apart. I was just wondering what temperature i should do this at, if anyone has done it. maybe even tips or simple instructions...the help would be great. Thanks.

haha.......I actually wrote those instructions on clubrsx, but I have changed to the baking method and must say the results are much cleaner

depending on what sort of oven you have, between 200-250 degrees for about 20 minutes will get it pretty soft for you

just be sure to not let any of the tabs sit against the side of the oven or the door

It feels weird setting a $350 light in there, but Ive done it plenty of times now, but was very worried the first time

Ive done so much crap to RSX's...........yep too much time

Now after taking this one COMPLETLY apart, I feel pretty confident in doing just about anything to one

i agree with you why take the chance in ruining your own headlights when you can just buy real authentic ones

Not yet, trying to get rid of some GSR cams and a set Type-S cams. Trying to be patient and hold on to the Type-R's until I decide on some custom cams.
