Nevermind, found the problem. Bad wiring harness behind ignition. Thanks for the help.
My friend has a 93 accord EX. When she bought her car a couple years ago the ignition would stick when the key was in the starting position. You would have to turn the key forward and when it started you would have to turn it back before the starter started grinding. She told the dealer and they "fixed it" which meant that they didn't do ****.
So that brings us to today. Today she was driving around like she normally does and she noticed that her ABS light came on very dim, then brighter, then dimmer. Her car gives her a lot of **** so she kept driving. She parked it for about half an hour, then tried to start it again. It was really hard to start and she had to try and start it three times. About an hour ago she met me and bagged93accord for dinner. When she went to leave her car would not start. That's when I went out to see wtf is going on.
Her car will turn over without hesitation, but as soon as the key is turned back to the running position, it dies. When the key is turned to the running position, no instrument lights come on, no heater lights, no lights come on as they should. I first thought it was a number of things, but now I think her Ignition has gone bad. It makes sense because her ignition was fucked up since she bought it.
What I was wondering is if anyone has had this problem or knows of any recalls on the ignition. I'm the mechanic out of all my friends and this has me a little stumped. Any info or suggestions are welcome.
Cliff notes - Car won't stay running, possible ignition gone bad, I have no ******* clue what is going on.
