Hey that sounds like a good plan to me. My friend converted his 00 ex to obd-1 and when emissions time came back around and he tried to convert back he was throwing all sorts of codes from the obd-2 ecu. It took us forever to get it to pass. I am personally looking to sell my 92 dx hatch and purchase a 99-00 SI and I will probably do the same your looking to do.....

Did he use a Obd 2 - 1 harness with a p28? I was thinking of doing this but wasn't sure. Thanks

I'm running a P73 in my 97 CX without swapping those pins, is that a problem?

i know for my obd2a p73 it acts as a obd1 ecu in a obd2 casing. at least thats what i have been told. it eliminates the secondary o2 sensor, and the crank flucuation.

i have had the ecu installed for about a week or 2 and it feels great i moved the pins and the car pulls strong,

the type r does a little more for me then to b 16 one does due to the fact that it dumps more fuel, the car dosent lag anymore at all higher redline and again a better fuel map ?

the only problem that you run into is the immobilizer which can be removed ?

I have recently swapped a 98 spec JDM ITR into a 98 civ ex. I used the the original harness from the ex and pieced in a couple of the plug from the JDM harness. A couple of plugs are just hanging and one of them (IAT Sensor) is looking for a return signal but there isn't an IAT sensor for the JDM ITR. My problem is that the p73 ecu is throwing codes but I cannot read them. I have had honda mechanics look at it and tell me that they can't even jump it to get the light to flash. He said something about the relay was missing a power or ground somewhere. The thing runs very well, maybe a little starved or sluggish when VTEC is engaged, but still gets it! Could this have to do with the the need for switching some of the pinouts? What is an immobilizer?

A little help!
