hondas are known for that, nothing is wrong, just before your car has moved for ahwile you have to put it in another gear first. when leaving in the mornings i put it in fourth, then reverse and for first, even if ive been driving for ahwile, i put it in 2nd then first.

^^ hes is correct but im assuming this isnt your first time driving the car, so judging by the question i would gather that it is harder to get it in gear than normal, correct?

i just had the car for 3 months. i bought the car from a guy in new york. anyway, it wasnt like that when i first drove it. this problem started i think two weeks ago and it is just starting to bother me. everything else is ok its just that everytime i have to put the gear to 1 or reverse i can barely put it on gear. sometimes im driving really slow, i should put it on 1st but since i cant i have no choice but to put it on 2nd gear. are these still normal?

i would check underneath and make sure the shift fork not damaged or loose, than i would change my tranny fluid and see if that helps.
