which car do you guys think is faster if both drivers are equally same and both are bone stock??? i think it'll be really close.....

 

It will be close. Try doing a couple runs then switch drivers

 

haven't kept up w/the celica info but aren't the older ones have higher rev limit than the newer ones?

 

Im going to go with No RSX will take a FAT dump all over the celica. Gts's suck ****.

I second that, your not going to get many votes on the GTS but both cars are highly respected by both parties..

 

If it's either an older GT-S or the new ones (each has the higher rev limits) and the driver knows how to land lift (not easy for newbies), the GT-S will win. It's a much lighter car than the RSX-S. I wouldn't consider purchasing one though since they are more expensive and are very limited in their upgrade potential. Also, racing an automatic GT-S doesn't count.

 

I pooped on a GT-s with intake and exhaust. His gay body kit slowed him down 2nd gear owned his rice loving ***.

If I had to own a vehicle with inferior suspension I'd take the one that's 300 lbs. lighter.

 

i raced my friends gt-s 6spd. we both had an aem cold air at the time. we raced from a dead stop and he had a better launch on me but when my vtec kicked in, i pulled on him, and when his vvt-i kicked in he would start pullin too but i still beat him by a car and a half.

 

I think it will be a close race. the thing that would make a difference is the driver. if the driver doesnt know what hes doing. whoever the better driver is will wind

 

The older gts is by "betteR" than the newer ones, but we all know that. The gt-s has a "chance" it's probably one of those driver races..

 

1st gen RSX runs low 15's while the newest celica GTs run mid 15's

 

i have to put my money on the rsx

 

had a GTS and after driving in a RSX type-s i would take the type-s over the celica any day

 

i would go with the RSX, cuz it owns.

 

The power to wieght is slightly in the RSX's favor even though it is heavier. But it is always a drivers race, unless the the cars racing are Lamborgini murcialago vs celica GTS.

 

not to be baised by myself being a honda lover but, two of my friends own both cars and my buddy with the rsx(i/e) beats my other friends celica(i/e) by about a car every time....but realistcally there is no point on posting these stupid "who will win" posts cuz the only way to find out is to actually race and see what happens, but to answer the question....the DC5 will win against a celica with the same mods ive seen it.

 

Type S, buddy of mine has a gt-s. I am a better driver, but he is not bad. Bottom line is, we both thought we should be stupid and run on the streets, and I took him by 4 cars. Win wasn't worth the possible racing ticket i could of got. -Shawn

 

easy... type S, but then again i'm kinda biased

 

i think that it will be a close match. But the RSX S will own anyday because the Celica GT-S has exactly 180 hp and the Type S has 200 hp and the torque on the the GT-S is only 130 while the Type S is 142.

 

Also the GT-S is a 1.8L, the Type S is 2.0L.

 

I would think the Type-S would win cause I LOOOVE Honda/Acura
