Default Which suspension setup?

Getting ready to buy my suspension setup today. The will be lowered on 215/40/17 tires. This is my daily driver that occasionally sees racing on the weekends maybe once or twice a month. These are the two setups I am debating over

1. KYB AGX shocks and GC coilovers
or
2. Tokico Illumnina 5 way adjustables and Skunk2 coilovers.

What are your experiences with these and which would you recommend? The Tein's seems a little too expensive for what I need.

How does a 1.5 inch drop on 17's look on a 5th gen? Is there alot of wheel gap left? I was also thinking of getting the Tokico suspension kit that includes their 1.5 inch drop springs and Illuminas.

I have heard that both setups are good for what you are wanting to do with your car. I think that I have heard more praises towards the KYB AGX & GC combo.

that's my 5th gen in white; lowered with prokit / agx combo. right around 1.4~1.5 drop. 2 fingers in rear, 1 in front.

GC+koni yellow is def a nice set up, but if your car is gonna be mostly daily driven then both setups you have listed are fine and will serve you happy.

i auto-x religiously and my agx/prokits are doin great.

do either one of the setups and get the neuspeed rear sway.

Hey hey i have AGX + Prokit too and i'm about to bring the car to a road race (Track event in Europe). What is your setup with the AGXs ? Currently mine are all on position '2'. I'd be interested to hear your feelings about them on the track

i have agx/eibach sportline combo and i love it. I have my shocks cranked all the way down to #4, thats the stiffest mine go on the 4th gen lude. The sportlines seem barely able to take what i give them on the street. I kinda want custom springs, but i like the ride of the sportlines.

I'm wondering how you guys can use the prokits to autocross with any success??

Well i havent tested the pro kits on a track yet but that's soon. I cannot take the sportlines because it's my daily driver, and pro kits are low enough - i'm already touching the ground on speed bumps.
I have a 4G as well, so AGXs have 4 positions as well.

for daily driving, i put on "1" all the way around as that's the purpose of the "daily driving" haha... i dont wanna feel everything on the road.

when i autox or go on a "canyon carving" i put em on all 4's (highest setting).

on a wet auto-x, SOMETIMES i put em on 3's.

i had a great fun trying out all different settings on a 24-hr auto-x event! i wish you have fun as well!
