98 H22A vtec X-over too high for JDM H23 vtec?
well my JDM H23vtec project is finally going pretty smoothly.
I am using the JDM H23 vtec block and crank, GE sleeved with crower rods and JE H22 10:1 pistons with a H22a4 Head(full Ferrea set up).
I am going to run the stock 97+ ECU for a bit(until the turbo kit is finished and I go Hondata). Do you think the vtec x-over will be too high on that ECU and will be out of the powerband?
Still using the stock tranny as well.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

it will be fine for now. afterall you just breaking the motor in with it.it could be just a bit lower but youre not loosing much. only dyno runs and tunning will tell you what is good for your motor
Do you think the redline on my motor has been decreased to JDM 7200(is that correct? I think it is) or will I still be ok going the 7800 with my head and block setup (I don't think/know if I will be making that much more HP by reving that high)?
I think the redline is lower because its bigger displacement, similar to the h23a but with VTEC. The h23a can't normally handle high rpms stock and a alot of tuning is involved to make it handle rpms. But these are just some ideas I could be wrong.
