Default Another Diagnosis (SP)

Well went to work on the car today and when I turned the key over all i get is a rapid clicking assumably coming from my starter. The car has fuel pressure so Im assuming its the battery. Went to jump start it and still nothing. I get the same noise. What do you all think it is? Sorry i feel like a dumb *** but battery wise ive only had them die completely so this is a new sound to me.

Exact same thing happened to be...i just went out and bought new battery connectors and cleaned up the posts and never had another problem

..that fast ticking you're hearing is the solenoid on the starter. The bearings could have worn out or you burned up the solenoid. Most people solve this problem by tapping on the starter which can actually do more harm than good be cause that breaks the magnetos in the starter.

I would spend 4 dollars on new connectors and a wire brush before i bought a new starter.
