Default 99-00 Civic in need of interior idea. *Help me*

Hey guys, I need some simple input from you guys.
This is what I am working with:

Like most people I have a radio in the top slot, on the bottom opening I do not have a storage bin. I cannot clip the stock bin up there because the metal radio/bin support is bent and damaged (I got it from a junk yard).
So I called up a shop to do some work to the dash like fiberglass work to mold and shape it and put some gauges and switches in there (Im running a n2O set-up soon) for only the bottom part, I would not remove the CD player or relocate it.
I once purchased an aftermarket radio/bin thing from a electronics store but it didnt not go in correctly due to the supports being bent.
So for like 6 months I have been running with a big opening under my CD player and now I wanna do something custom to it.

What are your inputs?
Has anyone seen something like this?
Anyone have pics of people doing it?

Thanks guys!

I would suggest figuring out exaclty what gauges/switches you will run there, if you haven't already, and make a template for them before you bring it to any shop to do any custom work.

So whens the giggle gas comming, I thought you were an all motor man? Car should haul.

you should get that big CF blocker thing that just shields the whole entire hole. just relocate you deck to the lower din section and mount the gauges where the cig lighter is, so they are suspended giving it a nice ricey look...hahah jk

Tom, I dont really want the nitrous but Tim wants me to run it and only wants 375 for it.
So Im considering.
And Im taking it to APG asking them to see what they can do about molding it with possibly a switch and an oil pressure gauge, the only gauge I can see using. I just want to make it look cleaner, and original.

why don't you get a small monitor .. flush mount it and CF the remaining openings if it dosen't fit right.. you can always put gauges and headunit somewhere else in teh civic

You've described everything I didn't want.
I wanna make it pretty original.
I dont like pillar gauges so that's why I want to mold something cool in that space.

I'm usually not a big fan of horsepower in a bottle either, usually on bone stock cars like all those damn camaros in our area , but in your case I would go for it unless you plan on maybe building a new bottom end. With your current setup I think it would really do well, 375 is a nice price too heh.

Did your really want your switch there though? I agree it may look nice but if it was me I'd hide it a lil.

Here's a gauge setup that someone did on their eg that I always liked. Obviously its a different car but pretty smart idea 1/8" aluminum and a holesaw.

Here's something from an integra which was made from abs plastic

Yea those are really nice, but my biggest concern is how to put a panel in there.
I would thing the outside part would have to be molded with the panel because I dont see how I can just slip a panel in there where nothing is holding it on there.
If that were the case I would buy a radio stoage bin and put a plate in front of that.

Talk about a futile post
Can you elaborate on that? I'm having a tough time seeing this from your perspective.

One, he posted a relevant question.
Two, he posted it in the right location in the appearance cosmetic forum since it is a cosmetic modification.
Three, he got help concerning his question whether it was the right answer or him or not. Other people may have benefitted from it as well.

I thought this board was all about helping and contributing to our honda community here, not pointless flaming because someone's asking a question pertaining to their car.

At 44 years of age you sure do act like inanely, no wonder I'm having such a tough time seeing your opinion through your moronic eyes.

I come back from school to see like 4 of my posts with your immature comments on them in the classifieds for no reason what so ever.
It's just me sellin stuff and you sayin stupid things about my mom.
Then I report you and now my post gets deleted?!
Man I dont even know where you came from, all I know is my **** in the classifeds are gone cause of your ***.

Oh yea and another thing, even if I DID 'rag' you for something, you possibly deserved it to the finest caliber. You think I go around on H-T gettin off 'ragging' people?
And so what if I did; like I said I dont even remember sayin anything to you before this day, I forgot about it, can't you? Its the ****** internet there no reason why I had to be the victom and lose my posts in the classifeds cause of some idiot honkee that wanted revenge for something I dont even know where to even begin thinking about.

But hey whatever floats your boat; I thought I could come here for some advice on my center dash and again you try insulting me for NO REASON!
Get a ****** life, quit harrassing my posts in the classifeds, in other forums I don't care but Im tryin to make an honest buck.

Well then dont spill it off into other threads and keep any personal problems through pm, just out of respect for the other members here...we do not want to read that garbage. All this will do is get the mods even more aggravated at you diminishing any credibility you would have in an argument against him.

EDIT: I did see some of those posts in the classifieds, and I also did not see louis(sleeper012) 'ragging' on you

Thanks Tom for going back on topic, I dont want this one locked because of no reason too.
Yea I dropped it off at APG, they said they will start to mold it with either plexi, or a sheet metal. They said they will call me Friday-ish and tell me to come down when they make a template, I dont think Im gonna get an oil pressure gauge, and Ill daddy's nitrous has just recently been sold. So I'll see what I'll be doin exactly.
