but the thing is i want a flip out monitor with dvd/cd AND AM/FM capabilities in 1 unit.

alpine has a better one...my buddy has it, it's probably around the same price too
you can add a DVD navigation to it, which brings the price tag to around $4K, but w/ out that it's like 2

i know what you mean....

i just want one for i don't know what for, but your right, more than likely i would never drop that much cash on something like that in a R, maybe one day when i have a family car MDX, or something.
