how hard to install CF hood?
how hard is it to install a CF hood? Is it just those 4 10mm bolts, 2 on each side of the hood? Is the latch usually on the CF hood already??
Its very easy to install and remove a CF hood.
I dont know why, but my CF hood uses 11mm bolts
Yes its the same, 2 one each side.
Yes there is a latch on the CF hood already
HTH

Bryan...sorry dude..i sold the hold. But my company will make some real soon...IM me about it
As for the hood not being flush w/ the car..reason being is because most of the cf hood company use 50% carbon fiber and 50% fiberglass..and mass produce and by doing that...it doesn't come out as straight as it should be. And my company is using 100% carbon fiber and even w/ the carbon fiber skeleton (much stronger and lighter...prolly around 5lbs). E-mail me @ PROJECTD2JEFF@AOL.COM if you guys are interested in the high quality hoods or other stuff.

Since this is pertainin to cf hood. I got a question and hope everyone can give me some feedbacks. Does anybody know if my vented cf hood safe its vented above the exhaust manifold. I would hate to get rid of it. I just bought it 3 days ago too. Hate to blow a lot of money on something thats not safe. This really sucks.... Would I be able to bring it to a machine car wash and be safe?????? Or the manifold will crack (header or turbo manifold) and stuff?? How about on rainy days???? If its parked??? or driven???? I would deeply appreciate everyone feedback on this please Also any other ways to still keep my vented cf hood???? What will happen if manifold cracks????Thanks. Just have a friend to help hold while you bolt it. Thanks for the feedback

cant drive on rainy days or go into a car wash
water will get on your manifold and possibly crack it....
i was gonna get the vented but it was way too much money and not worth it, just got the fiber images....good product.

Thanks. Damn this really sucks I knew i should have gone for the race style one just plain cf but hella light. Anymore feedbacks??? I'm still open.
when u buy the hoods, do they come with that rubber lining that is on the front of the stock hood?
You can reuse the seal from your stock hood or just leave it off. The slope of the hood will keep the water from leaking in. The seal does help to fill some of the gap that is typically left with CF hoods though.
No cf hood don't come with the rubber thingy. Damn how do I reuse the rubber thingy from the factory hood. They stick on hard *** hell. Any tips??? Also if I can remove it how do i install it on my cf hood??? Thanks for the help.
I bought a new seal from the dealer and it came with the plastic clips to hold it on. It was only about $15-$20 and it might be worth it to save yourself the trouble. To remove the original one, you'll have to carefully pry off the clips from your stock hood or possibly find new ones at an autoparts store (they're pretty easy to ruin when you try to remove them so don't be surprised if you need new ones). Then its just a matter of lining up the seal, drilling small holes, and pushing the clips into place.
What is that seal thingy called?? I don't want to look like an *** at the Acura dealer askin for one hehe
Btw, It requires drillin my cf hood again to get put the seal and plastic clips in place???? Thanks.
