i installed my 01 gsr seats in my crx over a year ago. i swapped seat pans and seat rails, and thats how i got it in my car. but the seat could never come up as far as the stock seat, like the very first click on the recliner would be a pretty relaxed position on the seat.

now the recliner broke - or maybe its not engaging properly cuz of the seat. either way, the seat isnt holding in one position anymore. i can move the seat up and down without using the recliner handle. how can i fix this? has anyone used the original GSR seat pan/recliner and still had it fit in their crx? how did you do it?

whats the right way to do this, while having the right recline angle?

 

There should be a thin metal line that goes from one rail to the other on the underside of the seat. Check to see if this is attached still.

I now notice you said recliner. I would take the seat apart and compare to the passenger side seat to see if anything is different.

 

well i know for sure everything is the same as on the passenger side cuz i installed these seats. do seat recliners go bad?

anyway, so how have you guys done it? and also kept the recline angle like the stock seat?

doesnt anyone else on this board have gsr seats mounted correctly in their crx?

 

I have 01 Leather GSR seats in my CRX, but i bought the seats already modified for the car. It looks like all they did was make a square bracket underneath, then weld in the original CRX rails. My seats do sit a little higher then i'd like. I will probably redo them later this year.

icic..how do u plan on redoing it?

 

if i was to put some gsr seats in my crx i would use the rails that the seat came with and just make custom brackets.. me making metal brackets is less work then switching rails bottoms etc.. :D but i have 91 mint crx seats
