Default 5.25" backspace fitment?

Anyone ever use a 5.25" backspace on their civic's or crx's. I know 5" is the norm but I'm wondering if I can squeeze a 5.25" in there? Thanks in advance.

well, 5.25 is awfully close to 5". basically it will just make the rim closer to the inside .25" if it is a problem, a 6mm/.25" spacer will suffice. i do not think it would not be a problem.

looking at the clearance I have with a 5" backspace, I think that you could probably go with a 5.25" backspace but it's going to be even tighter... is there a particular reason that you need the extra .25" reduction on the outboard side of the wheel?

I found a good deal on some diamond racing wheels with, according to the seller, a 5.25" backspace...

ahhhhh... cool.

you saw the pics of my wheel to suspension upright clearance right?

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=723983

(I'd repost the pic but I can't access Imagestation from work )

looks like there might be enough room for 5.25" backspace. If there isn't, you could always use a small spacer...

Yeah, I saw the pics. Looks like there's still about 1/2 inch or so clearance between the upright and the wheel. Either way, I already have spacers if needed. Thanks for the info.
