13x8 Diamond Racing Wheels Question
Can anyone confirm if 13x8” Diamond Racing wheels with a 5” backspacing will fit over my EK Si calipers?
I ordered one today to test fit, but will order the other 3 if someone can confirm that they will fit.
They told me they have 11.25” inside spacing.
Help much appreciated!

I've got a set of 13x9's from Diamond with a 5" backspace that fit fine on my EG Si but there's not much room at all between the caliper and wheel. Doesn't the EK Si run larger front rakes than the EG's? If that's the case then I think that you may be out of luck
grrr...that's what i was afraid of. i'll still try it, but i doubt they'll fit.
do you know if EG calipers will fit on my EK knuckles? if so, i'll downgrade to EG Si calipers...

I can never keep those stupid letter designations straight. If you would've said 1999 Si and up, that would've made it easier (for me at least) to answer. Your brakes are most likely too big, but you'll need to test fit for yourself to be sure. All I know is that the Diamonds clear the 1992-1995 Civic calipers, but not by much.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Hey I am getting a set of Diamonds from a friend so I can play in SM again, but I have a question... if you want to answer it thats cool, if not then no problemmo.
I have ITR front calipers/rotors modded to Integra knuckles, so I know I need to remove them to fit the 13x9 diamonds. I believe I need to remove not only the ITR parts but the Integra knuckle as well since the Diamonds wont fit the Integra 4 lug caliper and 10" rotor... correct? So, luckily I still have my stock 1992 CX front knuckles/rotors/calipers and I will refresh them and put them on...
Question-
The Diamonds won't fit the Integra 4 lug caliper and 10" rotor... correct?
Are the 1992 CX knuckles/rotors/calipers any different from the 1992 Si parts?
Do the Diamonds clear the CX/DX brakes but they don't clear the Si brakes?
I'll need a 1/2" spacer since the wheels I'm getting are 5.5" backspace, right?

Diamonds won't fit over the Integra Brakes.
Not sure if the CX parts are different from the Si... if anything, I'd think they'd be smaller than the Si parts though.
Diamonds DO clear Si brakes on 5th generation NON-ABS cars.
You may be able to get away with a .25" spacer instead of a full half inch... there's a little bit of room between the inner wheel lip and the suspension upright when using a 5" backspace but definitely not a full 1/2".

No problem, glad to help
FWIW, if it'd help I can snap some photo's of how tight the clearance is with the Diamonds on my Si...

I'll try and snap some this week and post them up... Tires haven't come in yet, so it'll just be the wheels on the car. Actually, it'll probably make it easier to see the clearance between the wheel and suspension upright...
ANYONE WANT TO BUY A USED SET OF DIAMOND WHEELS?
Don't mean to hijack the thread but at least it's the same subject... If y'all are interested in a used set of 13 x 9" diamond wheels (black powder coat, great shape), I'm looking to get rid of them quick. They have 4" of back spacing because when I got them I wasn't sure if 5" would fit either. Got a new set of RS wheels now, so these are taking up space and I don't have the $$$ to use them for rain tires. I'll let the set go for $100 + shipping if anyone wants them. If you want pics (on/off the car) I can email those too. IM me if you're interested. Thanks.

FWIW, 4" would work. You'll just have more wheel "outboard" of the hub, but it'll still fit.

fitting Diamonds over 3rd Gen Teg brakes that were on a 5th Gen Civic is what he was asking about... the wheels might fit over 1st gen Teg brakes but I'm really not sure.

Yeah, I sort of wish they were 5", but the 4" actually worked great too. The wheels stuck out more, but IMO, and to a few co-drivers, actually gave the car better handling characteristics compared to 5". And contrary to what I thought would happen, they really weren't cone catchers either. I'm sure tires, alignment, toe, etc. has a lot to do with all that too. But I was happy with these. They were my first set of race wheels, and I'd definitely recommend them as such. The only reason I'm getting rid of them is because I just don't have room. Plus I'm moving to Oklahoma City next week, and don't feel like hauling them up there.

The price you're asking is really reasonable... my Diamonds ended up being around $285 including shipping.
I'm surprised nobody has snapped these up yet!
edit:
FWIW, I wouldn't imagine that the additional 1" offset would be a major hindrance to anybody who is looking at Diamonds anyway...
