ok. so i just finished my b20 vtec but i cant get it to idle properly. another problem is when i step on the gas there seems to be a blank spot and im not getting any gas but when i let go and pump it only squeezes just a bit out. whats the deal??
after the gas pedal issue i checked my tps, because it had been tweaked with before, i pull on the cable to give it some gas but im not getting anything i fiddle with the tps but still no gas and all i hear is slight gust of air until i heard a loud POP sounded like backfire coming from my intake manifold. just as it popped i also felt some air blow at my hand.
then after that... i adjusted the timing. started the car and i see blue smoke out of the exhaust and when i turned the car off there seems to be a trail of smoke out of the exhaust and up the rear bumper...
please help TIA

ok so i solved most the problem did a search the smoke could either be too much oil which i have or the rings are sitting. my o2 sensor was messed up twice and now all that is fixed only problem is code 3 which is map sensor somethings wrong with it but in the mean time i switch tps and map and it runs OK it just bogs up and down... at least i can get around now. a little annoying but at least i can step on the gas =p all i need now is to get a friends map sensor and try and trouble shoot the problem. if its my map sensor itself or a wire etc.
