Hey guys. Ok here is my thing. I have a 1st gen b16 motor that i have been building for a while now. I have not gotten a ac, ac bracket, alternator, or alternator bracket for it yet. My question is obviously, what will work for this. The engine is going into a 1993 honda civic dx. Also I have an unorthodox crank pulley, do any of yall know which pulleys to buy in order to work correctly?

You'll need a Del Sol VTEC A/C bracket to retain A/C while using the stock D series compressor. Any B series alternator bracket will work. For the alternator, get an OBD0 or OBD1 B series if you want plug and play with an OBD1 harness.
As for the underdrive racing pulleys, I don't recommend them and would never run them if they were free, but that's me. If you want a nice pulley get the JDM CTR 1 belt crank pulley but then you can't have A/C or PS.

 

thanks villain. I heard there was different output with certain alternators, u know anything about that? I already have a unorthodox underdrive crank pulley on there, so a lil late on that, haha. U know the proper belts to use with ac and alternator? thanks alot guys

yea, i just bought a 90 amp one for an integra b/c of my stereo, my stock one was suppose to be around 68 but I got it tested and it was 72 amps, so depending on the vechile the alternator varies on amps

hey, my friend told me there was also a mount of some sort that attached to the ac bracket, what the hell is he talkin about?

 

That would be the lower driver's side dampening mount. EF and DA doesn't have it but the EG, EK and DC do. It's basically a shaft that threads into the A/C bracket then you have the rubber mount on the end that bolts up under the frame rail.

Because the EF's and DA's have a different type of mounting setup, hence the need for an aftermarket mount kit to fit a B motor in the EF. The EF's and DA's don't have front lower tranny and A/C dampening mounts that bolt under the frame rails. Instead they have a single front tranny mount in the middle that bolts to the front cross member.

You can use the stock Civic rubber mount on the Del Sol VTEC A/C bracket. For the rear mount, you can use the stock rubber mount as well, it's the rear bracket that needs to be an Integra one.
