I was browsing around the net and i came across this intake manifold, for a d16a6 its a polished OBX, it looks like a decent design, has anyone had anyexperience with this manifold? How can it be compared to, say, a d16y8 intake manifold? The obx one is pertty cheap (around 100 shipped) any feedback on this piece?

 

we had one come to a local shop here in town .. had to send it back 3 times because they didnt finish welding the runners.. and when the guy put it on ..he lost power..mostly because he had a releatively stock motor... i wouldnt put it on my car

 

I did a little more reasearch and it does appear that these things are junk. thanks for the reply.

 

they are junk. i actually ordered one to sell, but ended up giving it to my brother, because they sent it for the wrong model. we put it on his car, and he lost power. it looks nice in the picture, but you get to look at it in person and feel and see it and its a junk part. don't waste your money.

 

Did any one of these guys dyno the OBX mani? The larger runner may make it feel slower but have more top end? Just wondering.
