hey guys! it took me so long, but slowly but surely, I'm coming down to getting my B16A into my civic. I have HCP mounts, along with a S1 tranny, DA front Knuckles, and a 93 DA intermediate shaft. (still need to get 93 DA axles) the only thing that got me is this article: http://tjshondas.20m.com/xlfronts.htm : which Joey F. found and showed me (thanks man!), which the article says NOT to use DA front knuckles, because it will affect all portions of your wheel alignment: toe, camber and caster...but i've already got the DA front knuckles... I need to know what set ups any of you guys are running so I know what works, and what wont work...and if I have to, i'll get rid of those DA front knuckles for $175+shipping...thanks!

im running sir front knuckles since honda acura palace gave me them instead of si ones. mistake in my favor. they fit integra rotors and brake pads. mine work fine and i had the car aligned and the toe was fine and so is the camber since i have a kit for it. my advice would be get the car aligned with the knuckles on and ask them if they had any problems with it at all. im sure u would be fine as long as u just run the knuckles and not the lower and upper arms but thats just a guess from what ive seen in the past with other honda variations such as DC front knuckles on EGs

thanks! sounds like a good set up to go with, but just want to varify things a little more from others, sooo... I want to know who has HCP mounts, and what Knuckles ( stock or somthing else), tranny (either EF [SIR1] or DA if anything different between the two), and axles you're using, and if you needed an intermediate shaft?!?! I also want to know if using DX hubs, which axles do you use, and if you need a 93 DA intermediate shaft with this set up, all with HCP mounts and DA tranny (S1) ...sorry to complicate things guys

when you say B16 axles and intermediate shaft, do you mean the Japanese civic SIR axles and shaft?! I kinda dont want to go with any parts i have to get from Japan, or anything hard to get because maintainance to my axles would be hell. I just want to be able to stop by a local Napa parts store and pick up extra axles, (I'm not capable of rebooting axles by myself, but it would be kewl to be able to) but i appreciate the set up info. If im stuck, I'd have to go with what is available
i got a zc little off but same principles here. im using da axles n knuckles. i put it all together n drove it n the car was super squirly and had bad understeer. when i hit a bump the car would pull in the direction of the tire that hit the bump. i went to firestone and asked for an alignment. they told me they couldnt do nothing about the camber unless i bought rear camber correction arms and adjustable ball joints for the front. so i had them just correct the toe and the caster. the car runs perfect now. the only reason my camer is f*ked is mine is lowered. the knuckles didnt hurt my camber any further than it was. caster is whats gonna be off bad but it is correctable.
people blow the goemetry differences WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY out of proportion. They arent all that different. really. Just remember to use the civic UCA's, and get an alignment and you will be fine.
Also, knuckles themselves do NOT change caster. They never have and they never will. They change toe, your camber curve (slightly more aggressive) and possibly camber too but thats really it.
I have the DA knuckles and I love them (except for the fact that I cant fit 13" wheels anymore).

Im just wondering for those of you who have the DA knuckles and swaps....what type of racing do you do? Autox? Road race? Any HPDE's or lapping days done with your current suspension/ knuckle set up? It may feel like a dream on the street or during a quarter mile blast but i'm just wondering how the setups felt when pushing them in a corner our tight cone field. A car acts totally different when pushed to the limit, rather than driving normally on the street.
